New Zealand offers some of the most unusual golfing landscapes, possibly in the world. Private helicopter transfers are available from the Lodge to a number of our North Islands championship golf course, perfect for those looking to spend more time playing and less time travelling.
Kinloch Club — approx. 90minutes by car and 20minutes by helicopter.
The Kinloch Club is the only Jack Nicklaus signature designed course in New Zealand. It is an 18 hole championship par-72 golf course, measuring 6734 metres from the Tournament tees.
Wairakei International Golf Course — approx. 70minutes by car and 25minutes by helicopter.
Originally built by the New Zealand Government’s Tourist Hotel Corporation in 1970, the Wairakei International Golf Course is set midway between Auckland and Wellington in the heart of the spectacular scenery of the Lake Taupo region. The course lies on 450 acres of natural rolling countryside and was developed to meet the rigorous design standards required for world class championship competition. The par-5 14th hole course is one of the longest and most challenging in New Zealand.
Arrangements for use of Lodge facilities including the private helipad and jetty need to be pre-arranged with the Lodge management. Normal hours of operation for all excursions, arrivals and departures are from 9am-5pm.
